What size rod should I bring?
We have plenty of 8,9 and 10 weight rods to use. If you prefer to fish with your own, 8 and 9 weight rods will be ideal.
What should I bring?
- Long sleeve technical or SPF Sunshirt
- Hat
- Polarized sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Preferred rod if using your own
- Enthusiasm and a good attitude
Will drinks and snacks be provided?
Yes, we will have water and ice onboard with plenty of cooler space. Feel free to bring your own food or drinks if so desired.
Can i bring my own rod?
Absolutely, but we will have plenty to choose from and have them all set up and ready to go.
How many people can I bring?
Maximum of 2 people, not including guide, on the boat. If you have a large party, no problem. We work with several other local guides so we can accommodate large groups on multiple skiffs.
Can we keep fish?
Not typically. We practice CPR (catch, photo, release ) tactics to ensure a sustainable fishery for years to come. We hope you understand.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, Texas Parks and Wildlife require you to have a resident or non-resident saltwater license for the amount of days you are going to fish. Visit tpwd.texas.gov to get yours now!
When are the best months to fish?
We have fish year around. Spring, Summer and Fall have fantastic opportunities for chasing fish on the flats.
